There are two ways that multiplication can shown visually. For example, 4 x 2 can be thought of as 4 groups of 2. It can also be shown as 4 objects in two groups. The problems below show the first number as representing the number of groups and the second number as the number of objects in a group. If you would prefer to represent it the other way, look for examples at the bottom of this section.
